The brief

The soon to be launched Plus X Brighton was in the early stages of development and looking to raise awareness of the brand. The team at Plus X planned to run a competition for Brighton’s most inventive minds, called Plus X Disruptors. The winning entrepreneur with the most impressive product pitch would receive six-months of Plus X Brighton desk space alongside access to Plus X workshops filled with specialist equipment, expert mentorship and guidance in product and business development.

The solution

Merci developed a landing page for the Disruptors event and integrated our marketing automation software - SharpSpring to maximise outreach. The landing page allowed contributors of the competition to upload and send their proposals to Plus X via a form.
We designed the form to be completed by both applicants and visitors, with an additional field to select what interests them at Plus X. This allowed the client to segment their audience, providing them with valuable data. In addition to this, we configured an automation workflow to follow-up on any missing details such as a file upload, which would trigger a personalised email reminding them to complete their application.
Plus X published the event through Eventbrite. With our solution, we linked Eventbrite to SharpSpring using API, and through this, enabled them to log the source of each attendee through this platform and deliver a personalised email.
